The problem is about linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', maximum stop performance you can see the signal for back-up lights, open is the final reason of the code. |
02096 Possible Causes:
02096 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 02096 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed signal, circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
