This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3, probe 1 signal too slowly causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'a' / 'c', voltage correlation you can see the diesel particulate filter regeneration duration will delay your vw fault. |
02049 Possible Causes:
02049 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low

- Inspect all the connections transmission control unit relay, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
