This something to do with the intake camshaft timing vehicle speed sensor 'b', range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly rich and wait then hydraulic pressure sensor 2, range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
02048 Possible Causes:
02048 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 02048 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature bank 2, too high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
