This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to b+ and nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
02046 Possible Causes:
02046 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 02046 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel level sensor 2, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
