02042 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil cylinder 15, high circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit range / performance and wait then exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 individual cylinder control, sensor dynamic too low is the final reason of the code. |
02042 Possible Causes:
02042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 02042 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
