02031 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing malfunction indication light (k83), short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit / open or bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation is the final reason of the code. |
02031 Possible Causes:
02031 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 02031 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine speed input, circuit error message from engine contr.
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
