Diagnosing engine bar with throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit low or change intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit high bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
01998 Possible Causes:
01998 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01998 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
