This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain, missing message from immobilizer mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor injector control pressure, erratic and direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
01997 Possible Causes:
01997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01997 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
