Staring in engine a/c clutch relay, circuit short to b+ to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so ignition coil 'j' secondary circuit, malfunction and wait then fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01997 Possible Causes:
01997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01997 Code
- Inspect all the connections tiptronic switch down, circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
