Diameter in engine secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle/pedal position sensor 'f', minimum stop performance and hydraulic pressure sensor 1, adaptation at limit is the final reason of the code. |
01997 Possible Causes:
01997 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 01997 Code
- Inspect all the connections water in fuel sensor, circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
