Diameter in engine sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit low . So for next exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
01996 Possible Causes:
01996 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01996 Code
- Inspect all the connections reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
