The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault hc adsorption catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2 the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil 'c' secondary circuit, malfunction also secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
01990 Possible Causes:
01990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections power supply (b+) terminal 15, low voltage
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
