Staring in engine activation, intake manifold runner bank 1 control, range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / pump current, short to ground also exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
01984 Possible Causes:
01984 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01984 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, system too rich at idle
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
