When you open oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed cylinder 10 above knock threshold you can see the evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
01983 Possible Causes:
01983 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01983 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, electrical error in the electric circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
