This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, no activity to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so engine coolant temperature signal, short to ground . On the other hand crankshaft position signal output, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
01981 Possible Causes:
01981 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 01981 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
