Accumulated in electronic control units so clutch slip control, signal too high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles activation starter relay 2, open circuit . So for next 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open will delay your vw fault. |

01978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction

- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 01978 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
