Staring in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start please check coding of ecus in data bus powertrain . On the other hand exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
01976 Possible Causes:
01976 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
