01974 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed shift lock, open and wait then transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), no signal is the final reason of the code. |
01974 Possible Causes:
01974 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01974 Code
- Inspect all the connections generator shut-off, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
