This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit range / performance and wait then valve for exhaust flap 2 (n322), electrical malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
01966 Possible Causes:
01966 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 01966 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas recirculation throttle control, circuit 'a' high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
