When you open intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 and wait then control circuit for controller for turbocharger 1 (j724): electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01957 Possible Causes:
01957 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 01957 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
