Diameter in engine cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, short to b+ or change linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
01942 Possible Causes:
01942 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01942 Code
- Inspect all the connections low pressure fuel system sensor (g410), circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
