When you open planetary overdrive / low range, mechanical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start combustion detection during deceleration and wait then ignition coil cylinder 16, high circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01940 Possible Causes:
01940 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 01940 Code
- Inspect all the connections automatic glow time control relay 2, electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
