This something to do with the intake camshaft timing air cleaner inlet control, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too low and valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), regulation range exceeded will delay your vw fault. |
01918 Possible Causes:
01918 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 01918 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger over-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
