The problem is about kick down switch, error message from engine contr. to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to ground you can see the o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
01888 Possible Causes:
01888 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01888 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel pump "b", low flow / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
