Staring in engine data bus powertrain, missing message from control module battery monitoring run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed ignition coil 'j' primary control, short to plus also linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
01879 Possible Causes:
01879 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01879 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
