The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault charge pressure fan relay (j712), open to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so charging system, voltage high or relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01876 Possible Causes:
01876 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 01876 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
