01871 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low

- Reverse Input Circuit
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical

- Inspect all the connections leak in air intake system
