The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel mixture control adjustment range 2, lower limit not reached causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), power supply malfunction or linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4, compensation wire pump current, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01862 Possible Causes:
01862 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 01862 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus powertrain, missing message from steering angle sensor
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
