01861 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so shift lock, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to plus and wait then secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
01861 Possible Causes:
01861 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 01861 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
