01846 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit intermittent to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so control module 2 for cooling fan, faulty or change valve for pump - jet, cylinder 3 (n242), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01846 Possible Causes:
01846 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01846 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
