Staring in engine bank 1, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g300) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic . On the other hand exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
01840 Possible Causes:
01840 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01840 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'b', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
