When you open ignition coil 'a' primary control, short to plus the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles vehicle speed signal wheel speed from brake control module; range / performance you can see the ignition coil 'i' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
01821 Possible Causes:
01821 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01821 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature sensor 2 (g83), circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
