Staring in engine cylinder 4 above knock threshold causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system o2 sensor out of range during deceleration bank 2 sensor 1 or change o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
01821 Possible Causes:
01821 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01821 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
