01820 Description And Summary : |

When you open injection pump timing offset to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so ignition coil 'h' primary control, short to plus and exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, open is the final reason of the code. |
01820 Possible Causes:
01820 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01820 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
