01816 Description And Summary : |

When you open throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', maximum stop performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground and wait then valve for exhaust cooling agent (n313), interruption / short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
01816 Possible Causes:
01816 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01816 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'a' / 'b', correlation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
