The problem is about drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit achievement too small also fuel mixture control adjustment range 3, higher limit not reached is the final reason of the code. |
018 Possible Causes:
018 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 018 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
