01791 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'a' primary control, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start injector control pressure, too low . So for next crankshaft position signal output, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
01791 Possible Causes:
01791 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 01791 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
