The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil cylinder 16, high circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit / open or change data bus powertrain, missing message from immobilizer will delay your vw fault. |
01785 Possible Causes:
01785 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 01785 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
