The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 1 retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start injector cylinder 13 (n390), circuit low or ignition coil 'b' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01766 Possible Causes:
01766 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 01766 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug / heater relay, circuit open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
