The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault vehicle speed signal, error message from instrument cluster causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle actuator control system, sudden low air flow detected you can see the fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
01746 Possible Causes:
01746 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01746 Code
- Inspect all the connections brake pedal position / accelerator pedal position, incompatible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
