The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 1, circuit high . On the other hand supply voltage for fuel injector group a, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01744 Possible Causes:
01744 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 01744 Code
- Inspect all the connections air flow restriction / air leak between air filter and maf
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
