The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault coolant pump control, circuit low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit high you can see the event data recorder request, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
01742 Possible Causes:
01742 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01742 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
