Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle actuator control system, stuck closed and wait then exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, electrical error in the electric circuit will delay your vw fault. |

01740 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 01740 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
