When you open ignition switch run/start position, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system load signal from alternator terminal df, open or short to b+ . On the other hand egr system, regulation range exceeded will delay your vw fault. |
01738 Possible Causes:
01738 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01738 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner bank 2, high temperature
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
