This something to do with the intake camshaft timing data bus powertrain missing message from awd controller the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, range / performance also fuel injection valve 3 (n368), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
01729 Possible Causes:
01729 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 01729 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
