01718 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about charging system, voltage low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor data bus powertrain, no message from transmission controller (tcu) also pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01718 Possible Causes:
01718 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01718 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
