The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault injector control pressure, too high - engine off mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor tiptronic switch up (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ and cylinder 6 injector, data incompatible is the final reason of the code. |

01718 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01718 Code
- Inspect all the connections post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
