The problem is about coolant degassing valve, control circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit intermittent you can see the manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load is the final reason of the code. |

01708 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 01708 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, rich control limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
