The problem is about rough road / engine torque signal from abs; electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, lean control limit exceeded you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
01704 Possible Causes:
01704 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 01704 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for large amount of heat (j360), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
