Diagnosing engine bar with malfunction indication light (k83), open / short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil 'b' primary control, short to plus . So for next fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
01701 Possible Causes:
01701 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
