This code were stamped on VW Engine case exhaust gas temperature control bank 4, range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles . So for next activation starter relay 2, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
01700 Possible Causes:
01700 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit open circuit
