This something to do with the intake camshaft timing nox sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start tiptronic switch recognition, circuit short to ground you can see the throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
017 Possible Causes:
017 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 017 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
