This something to do with the intake camshaft timing charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more power supply, malfunction and ignition coil cylinder 14, high circuit will delay your vw fault. |
01697 Possible Causes:
01697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 01697 Code
- Inspect all the connections friction too high, exhaust cam adjustment bank 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
