The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault bank 1, system too rich off idle causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust bank 3, probe 1 no activity . On the other hand throttle actuator control system, stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
01693 Possible Causes:
01693 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 01693 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for intake manifold flap (n239), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
